Today, due to the lack of successors and efficiency, many of them are cheaply mass-produced by printing. As for hand-painted YUZEN, it is said that 97% of its market is printed. It takes about a year to make one KIMONO. A KIMONO made from good materials and craftsmanship can be worn for over 100 years. Just like the building in the old townscape here in HIDA TAKAYAMA...
